The food industry produces millions of tonnes of various waste materials, some of which have been repurposed while others have not. Among the less-recyclable waste elements are cow and ox horns. In partnership with Authentic Material and Roctool, I investigated the most effective methods for converting a black, horn-based polymer into a product featuring an exceptional design through the use of cutting-edge industrial technology. A unique aspect of this material is the presence of small, visible horn particles, which add to its overall aesthetic appeal.
